Northbound
Vehicles will utilise the A1 and follow existing directional signage to Burghley House, exiting the A1 at the slip road with the B1081. Vehicles will turn left onto the B1081 and continue on this road past Burghley Golf Club, making a right turn into the estate through the Bottle Lodges entrance
Southbound
Utilising the A1, vehicles will travel past Stamford and follow already existing signage for Burghley House which exits the A1 on a slip road to the B1081. Vehicles will continue on this road, going past Burghley Golf Club and making a right turn into the Bottle Lodges entrance to the estate.
Eastbound
The bold red line represents the route being taken by majority of the traffic that will travel from the west on the A47, taking the first exit at the roundabout with the A43. Vehicles will continue on this road, following it straight onto the A1175, turning right from here onto the B1081. Vehicles will then make a left turn into the Bottle Lodges Entrance to the estate.
Eastbound 2
Traffic travelling this route will utilise the A606, making a right turn at the end of Empingham Road to Scotgate (A606). At the traffic lights with the B1081, vehicles will continue straight on. Vehicles will follow the B1081 with the existing directional signage for Burghley House, until the turning with Barnack Road; here, vehicles will continue straight on to the Bottle Lodges entrance where they will make a left turn into the estate, instead of making a left turn to the visitor’s entrance.
Westbound
Vehicles travelling on this route will utilise the A1175, following directional signage to Burghley House by exiting from Uffington Road onto Priory Road from the roundabout. Traffic will rejoin the A1175 and follow round until the junction with High Street St. Martins where they will make a left turn.
Vehicles will follow the B1081 with the existing directional signage for Burghley House, until the turning with Barnack Road; here, vehicles will continue straight on to the Bottle Lodges entrance where they will make a left turn into the estate, instead of making a left turn to the visitor’s entrance.
