This popular area is a chance to teach your dogs new tricks or discover your dogs superpower! There’s no need to pre-book, just sniff out the activities as you make your way around the show. Some activities may incur a small cost on the day.
Agility

Our Agility Ring is back for you to have a go negotiating the obstacles with your dog. Our friendly team will be on hand to help novices learn how to approach each obstacle correctly and safely.
Dogstacle Course
In partnership with YuMOVE
Dogs & their humans that love a challenge and those with plenty of energy to burn will love the Dogstacle Course! A fun activity to enjoy together at DogFest. Here you can encourage your dog to soar over hay bale hurdles, dive under scramble nets, zigzag around poles and dart through tunnels. Or join in with your dog and navigate the Dogstacle Course together!!!
Manvers Lake Newfoundland Water Rescue Demo
Come and watch these brave and beautiful dogs simulate a water rescue at the lake. Free with your festival ticket. After each demonstration, visitors will be invited to take a free boat ride to be towed back to shore by the heroic hairy heroes. 11 am and 2 pm.
Catch The Flag
Catch the flag is a sport where dogs chase a lure (a flag or toy) which is quickly pulled by a machine through the grass to replicate a small animal running, stimulating your dog’s natural prey instinct. It’s great for dogs that love to chase or just have a ton of energy and great for practising your dog’s recall as it’s in a safe-controlled environment.
Play Zone & Giant Ball Pit
The Play Zone is one of the most popular areas of the show. With a doggie desk chair for photo ops, swingball and giant ball pit, it's a great chance to unwind, bond with your dog and meet new furry friends.
Dog Dancing
Dancing feet..and paws at the ready! DogFest is proud to host the ultimate dog dance party. Catch our Crufts winner (2024) Nicci Hindson and dog Elsa as they give you an intro to starting a career in dog dancing in the Have-A-Go Ring.
Have-A-Go Ring
Who says you can’t teach an old dog new tricks? Experts in activities such as hoopers, scentwork, gun dog training and wag and tone will be on hand to teach you the basics of each discipline so you and your dog can carry on having fun at home and learn to master new skills.
Hoopers
Hoopers is a fun dog sport that’s ideal for dogs and owners of all ages and fitness levels. Dogs navigate a course of hoops, barrels and tunnels with the same pace and excitement as agility. But the courses are flowing and don’t involve tight turns – making it accessible for everyone! Hoopers is focused on the ability of dog and owner to work together as a smooth-flowing team so it’s a great bonding activity too.
Canicross
Join the cross-country running with your dog craze! You don't have to be an athlete to enjoy running with your best friend - anyone can do it. The Canicross UK team of experts will be on hand to help you test out all the gear - your dog wears a harness specifically designed to allow them to pull, you wear a belt/harness which allows hands-free running and you are attached to your dog with a bungee line.
