After an incredible summer of student success and unforgettable doggy adventures in 2024, Askham Bryan College is thrilled to announce our continued partnership with DogFest for 2025! This year, we are delighted to attend Tatton Park in Cheshire and Harewood House in Yorkshire – two of the most iconic DogFest venues in the UK.
For our Animal Management students, DogFest is far more than just a fun weekend with furry friends – it's a unique and immersive opportunity to gain real-world experience in animal care, event coordination, customer service, and industry networking.
What's New in 2025?
DogFest just keeps getting better, and this year's events feature new interactive zones and activities that our students are eager to help deliver. Alongside popular favourites like Catch the Flag, the Fun Dog Show, and the Agria Dog Walk, this year brings exciting additions including:
- 🐾 The Ultimate Dog Arena
- 🎤 Live Expert Talks
- 🍖 The DogFest Foodie Festival
- 🌳 Pup Play Park & Chill Zone
These activities are a perfect fit for our curriculum, giving our students the chance to put into practice modules they've studied such as animal behaviour, welfare, handling, business operations, and event logistics.
Learning Beyond the Classroom
At Tatton Park (21st & 22nd June) and Harewood House (7th & 8th September), our student volunteers will again be integral to the DogFest event crew. They'll take on responsibilities like:
- Managing booking systems and queues for popular attractions
- Coordinating competitions and giveaways
- Assisting with canine safety and hydration checkpoints
- Providing a warm welcome at registration stations and merchandise stalls
- Communicating via radio with the wider event team to support the smooth delivery of the day
- Managing and coordinating activities
Last year, we saw huge growth in our students' confidence, communication skills, and career awareness—plus they made lifelong memories and professional connections. We fully expect this year to be even more impactful!
We have a stand at both sites, come say hi and we can answer any questions about college, courses and student life.
A Partnership That Reflects Our Mission
As a specialist land-based college with a strong commitment to hands-on learning, career readiness, and animal welfare, Askham Bryan College is proud to be aligned with an event that celebrates dogs, supports responsible pet ownership, and promotes public engagement with the animal care industry.
DogFest continues to be a platform where our students shine—and the feedback from last year's events at Burghley and Tatton Park spoke volumes about the talent and enthusiasm they bring to the table.
Thank You to DogFest
We're incredibly grateful to the DogFest team for their continued trust and collaboration. The event gives our students the chance to meet inspiring industry figures, including last year's favourite, Chloé Fuller and her Super Spaniels, who left a lasting impression on our learners with her work in assistance dog training.
We look forward to strengthening this brilliant partnership even further in 2025—and we can't wait to see what's in store for this year's DogFest visitors (two- and four-legged alike!).
If you spot any of our students in Pink don't forget to come say hi !
See you at Tatton Park and Harewood House!
