Any dog lover will agree that our pets truly are a part of the family, and that is why we believe every Dog Mom out there should be celebrated on Mother’s Day!
In honour of this very special day, we sat down and caught up with Lindsey (Dog Mom to internet sensation @a.boston.called.bonnie) about the joys of being a pet owner, life in a house full of Wildax Boston Terrier puppies and Bonnie’s journey to becoming a mother herself.
First of all, we have to say a HUGE congratulations on your new additions to the family! How is it having some many little legs around the house right now?
Thank you! I’m not going to lie, it has been THE MOST challenging thing I have ever done, but seeing the puppies thriving now feels seriously rewarding. Waking up to one dog in the morning has always been an absolute delight, but now we are waking up to Bonnie AND 5 little pups! It’s pure chaos but such good fun!
They really are so beautiful! We have had serious envy looking at your Instagram recently. How has Bonnie adapted to life as a Mum?
To be honest, at first “mum life” for Bonnie was tricky. We had many ups and downs when it came to establishing her relationship with them. Now she’s sharing her toys with them, playing, interacting and watching their every move!
What is the best part of having a Mother and Daughter doggy-duo? Surely it is the cutest experience in the world.
Watching them bond together and the way little Francine looks at her mama is just adorable. Bonnie and Francine have the exact same markings, which is incredibly rare to be so similar. This is the reason we chose to keep her out of the litter, we just couldn’t let her go!
How will you be spending Mother’s Day this year? We imagine things will definitely be a little bit different in your household this year!
By Mother’s Day we will be able to take Francine for her first ever walk. So, we’re going to make it special and take Bonnie on her favourite walk to the beach, wearing matching outfits of course!

If you had to choose one, what is the best thing about being a dog mum?
It has to be that no matter what, my dogs are always there for me. They do not care if I’m not looking or feeling my best, they will always be there.
Does Francine have a life of an influencer star in front of her? We’re thinking she is definitely future DogFest VIP material, just like her mum!
Yes absolutely! This would be pretty hard to avoid considering her mama’s success on Instagram.
